Masseria la Cornula is in an ideal position in the pulsating heart of Salento, between two countries symbol of Salento wine production and olive growing and a few kilometres from one of the most beautiful seas in the world.

Located on the provincial road that connects Nardò to Copertino, Masseria la Cornula appears in all its white beauty, unmistakable between the red earth and the blue sky.

Access to the structure is already an invitation for spectacular beauty. A long tree-lined avenue with huge Maritime Pines, bordered by long rows of Negroamaro and Primitivo.

The Masseria

Masseria La Cornula it has an imposing prospect remained faithful to the origin of the structure. Characterized by the white colour that makes it clearly visible among the fields.

The Masseria was purchased a few years ago and has been completely restored and made operational since 2014. Very young and very well prepared owners, brothers Stefano and Cesare Sabato and the brother-in-law Gabriele Cappello, were able to restore splendour and importance to a structure built in the late 1500s and in a state of complete abandonment before starting this new life dedicated to accommodation.

A 90-hectare park and an olive grove that offers precious oils make it a priceless oasis of peace and tranquillity. Lots of open spaces to be enjoyed en plen air from March to October. The green of the olive trees that surrounds the entire estate, the beautiful vineyards, give guests the emotions and the typical scents of the Salento countryside.

The interiors are treated to the smallest details, the attention to detail makes the difference. Here everything is measured and balanced.

Arrived at Masseria La Cornula for our tasting of oils, under the arch that invites you to come, I meet Stefano Sabato, Sommelier AIS and a profound connoisseur of oil and wine. Stefano was our guide during the tasting of the incredible extra virgin olive oils produced by this farm.

The tasting takes place in an environment completely dedicated to the exciting discovery of the three labels of Extra-Virgin olive oil of the highest quality produced by the company. It is here that Stefano has been able to give us the opportunity to discover the rudiments of oil tasting. We were accompanied with explanations on the varieties of olives, the production processes and the link between these oils and Salento area.

Masseria La Cornula has only 6 rooms, each with a fantastic view of the park. It furnished with taste and functionality in a simple and balanced style, without ever expiring in excess.

Perfect place to savour the taste of the Salento’s tradition, where the Chef uses only vegetables and vegetables produced in the Masseria vegetable garden.
